About UsThe Royals Band Dance Line was founded at The University of the Arts on November 4, 2015 by four Black School of Dance students. As the first established student-run organization at the University, we pride ourselves in our history and commitment to the longevity of our family and legacy. We strive to introduce the Royal's aesthetic of majorette (j-sette) style of dance to our peers and the Philadelphia community by hosting workshops and having performances throughout the season.
Although we are a dance based organization, our responsibilities extend further than just the moves. Community service is an unequivocal responsibility of ours. It is important for us, as beings of a community, to nurture our neighborhoods and homes of others. The Royals Band Dance Line excels as an organization because of our dedication to family, teaching, and uplifting. Membership to this organization is open to all majors and those who share our similar values. |
